In this session, I will be taking about my experience with Free and Open Source Software, how I started using GNU/Linux, and how my COVID-19 lock-down experience ended up with an Ubuntu Remix Project. I will be sharing about the following:

1. I will be sharing my journey from a user to developer in FOSS ecosystem.
2. What is UbuntuDDE project and Why?
3. The progress so far with roadmaps on project’s future.
4. How anyone can contribute to UbuntuDDE Remix, Ubuntu, and Debian projects.

About the speaker

Arun Kumar Pariyar is a free and open source software and GNU/Linux enthusiast. He is the Project Lead of a popular GNU/Linux distribution UbuntuDDE Remix which is based on Ubuntu with Deepin Desktop Environment. Arun also maintains DDE packages and Golang software packages in Debian Project as a Debian Maintainer since 2020-11-20.
